Brandon Mioduszewski is a documentary filmmaker and video journalist from the Chicago area. His ethnographic and journalistic work forefronts identity formation and the personal profile, exploring how people make sense of their lives.

BIO

Brandon is a graduate student at the University of Missouri pursuing a Master of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in documentary. He finished his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, where he studied anthropology, Middle Eastern studies, and film. He's worked with Bloomberg News and KBIA public radio, using video to tell journalistic stories in an accessible way. His work frequently explores the intersection of economics and culture in rural America, and he is particularly interested in how people form their identities and make sense of their lives. Brandon has expertise in writing, research, reporting, videography, video editing, and video production.

DARTMOUTH ANTHROPOLOGY DEPARTMENT SENIOR PRESENTATION
Below is a presentation I gave to the Dartmouth Anthropology Department about three short documentaries I made as a Dartmouth undergraduate student. In this presentation, I discuss the similarities and differences between traditional ethnographic research and creative documentary filmmaking.
